can't putt

Shady Oaks.  Zoom in on basket, it's located at the first tee.  I suggest "Hybrid" view.

Most Excellent Amigos, Thank you! ;) I just hope the course is as easy to navigate as it is to get there.

Got a little bored today and created a map for Shady Oaks. I attached the regular and alternate map. Most of the alternate tees are marked with white bricks.

Wow that map is really helpful. Thinking of going and playing there this weekend. A lot of people said its confusing to navigate if it's your first time, but those maps will help a lot.

UPDATE!

The excavating has begun on the tee pads this morning.

Also, 18 brand new chainstars are in and await installation!

Concrete is in and drying as I type this.

Looking forward to playing the course with cement. It's been a while.

What is being done with the old baskets? It would be cool to see 2 pins on each hole.

Especially if they were right next to one and other. I might be able to make a putt.

HA! I think you'd be better off if there was one stacked on top of the other.

Just an FYI, a lot of the cement teepads have already been defaced, with penis drawings, pot leafs ect ect, hopefully the punks don't destroy the new baskets whenever they install them

It's sad to say, but it's true.

That is really sad to hear.  I hope to get to Streamwood league tonight for the first time and it will be sad to see.  A thought came to me after reading about the defacement-   I wonder if the Park District would allow graffiti artists to paint the pads.  Some of those artists are very talented.  The graffiti paint may discourage casual moron taggers and make it hard for their garbage to be seen.  Graffiti style disc golf motifs on the pads would actually be kind of cool.  I don't know if the paint would alter the pads to make them more slippery or sticky.

There were 4 that were vandalized. 2 were bad. They're being fixed...

As of right now, we have 9 additional sleeves, so, to start, 9 holes will have alternate pin locations.

stpitner

wish I could just beat those types of vandals over the head... no respect at all in this world., ridiculous.

The vandals now and days are unreal. We were watching the tees dry at Eagle Ridge and a player went under the rope to step on the freshly poured cement to throw. We had to yell at him to get out from inside the rope before he got to the cement. Without a crew watching the tee boxes, it's almost a sure thing they will be vandalised. We had 3 incidents with our tee boxes but none that were major, and they were gaurded. If they weren't gaurded, who knows what would of happened.

Tees were fixed yesterday, and by the time someone got out there to guard it, someone had already written their name in it. Un-@ucking-believable. Thankfully, it was still wet enough to "erase" the name...

Sorry about that Tony.  I thought my name would be a nice finishing touch.  I guess I was wrong.
