9 days until the Chicagoland Am Champs. This is what the CAC looks like half full. This event will fill! If you plan on playing i'd suggest getting in soon.

Will you take pre-reg at Bevier this weekend?

Yes, and i'll have flyers too.

Don't be a smart ass! The IOS hasn't had flyers in like 3 years!!!  ;D

I was not trying to be a smart ass. I've been handing flyers out like crazy.

Side note: I was able to hang IOS flyers at Waukegan, Libertyville, and Round Lake last year. I used the 2008 IOS logo.       Aurora had one up most of the summer.

I know Brett that's why I put the big smiley out there. Someone asked me if you'd take pre-reg at IOS #1 and I told him that you probably would but I'd throw it out there so people would know.

My computer is about 1/2 recovered from my HD crash so I'm hoping to be able to get some flyers into people's hands at the CAC.

I figured you were joking but I wanted to make sure it was not a shot towards you. I will be taking reg's.

So, I played the course today.  Utter slop-fest, 1/2 in. water just about everywhere.  For some reason my rollers were working though,  ???.
Anyway I believe that I found most of the holes.
#9a was underwater.  If the green was the monument, you'd still have to wade out to it from any angle.
I didn't find #9b or #9c, I think maybe I didn't go south enough, it was a tough walk with the path underwater.
Other than that it looks like fun so long as it doesn't rain a whole lot more or on the day.

I will give a course update tomorrow night. Thank goodness for some much needed sun and wind.

Hey novice players.  Your odds of winning some of Pitner's plastic just increased. My mother in law will be in town for Mothers Day and we are going to a 4pm play at the local high school. I will play the morning round and 999 the afternoon. Get your registration in now!

Bruce Brakel

Kiralyn is in a musical that weekend, so your odds of winning have improved too.   ;D

Wow, what a huge day of registration. I had a handful of guys at the course say they still need to get their money in. So what day is this event going to fill? Thursday or Friday?
