I'm in the same boat as Pacelli-Nagrodski.  My partner and I aren't ranked, but we're looking forward to the tournament since its the course we play all the time.

I cannot make it to Mokena.  I have family committments.  I wanted to send you a PM  to avoid any thread drift but your inbox is full.  I hope to see you, Diana and whichever of the girls can make it if you are at the Homie this year. I am sure Sunday will be a good time for all. Sorry to miss it.

I'm at the Mokena Public Library updating pre-reg and making leaderboard cards.  Everyone announced above should see their names on PDGA.com in a couple of minutes.

wow what a day. sooooo tired!  But it was fun.  I think it was full plus 3 floater groups?  Well done Bruce, Diana, Kelsey, and Mike - along with anyone else who might have stepped up to help at TD central because I know how crazy it can get when you have that many players!  96 players I think, and I know there was a waiting list - did anyone get turned away at the end?  That would be unfortunate, but it is what it is.

Mokena is a beautiful course - I wish the layout that we played today could be a more permanent thing.  It felt a lot more like a true course where it can really separate out Am's from Pro's.  The hula hoops was a cool side game - John and I enjoyed the brownies and cookies!

I would like to second what Scott said, Bruce Diana and Kelsey, along with help from Mike did an amazing job. I think about 14 people got turned away this morning.  A special thanks to Bruce and Diana for putting up the money in order for this event to happen.

It would be nice to see some events out at Mokena again. The course set up was really fun and challenging.

Steven Jacobs

Agreed, well done with the course layout and running the event!  I never get to throw that many distance shots.  It was awesome!  I also would like to play more tourneys there.  (Shakes fist at course fees)

We posted scores on pdga.com last night from some random McWifi hotspot on the way home.  Many thanks to Diana for inputting the data while I drove.  She just had an Intorduction to Excel class last week so she was practicing her new skills.

Thanks Bruce and Crew for a great event!

I don't know too many people that would pay $500 and cover all the PDGA expenses giving back 100% cash to the players. The option to play an event for $5 and having the chance to win it back is unreal! Thank you Bruce. I won 2 of the $20 cash CTP's which was sweet!

The flight format was interesting.

The course was sweet! I threw more long range drives yesterday than I do in a week. I threw more rollers yesterday than I have all year. Great variety and some great par 4's. Steven's drive on hole #1 to #2 was one of the best drives i've EVER seen. Parked!!!!!

Weather was perfect. Great event.

The money we gave back was basically recaptured non-redemption from the Illinois Open Series merch we accumulated when I was the merchmeister.  We [Diana and I] finished our involvement in the Series with a pile of discs and hole of debt.  We filled in the debt hole and got back to zero by selling discs, and that made us very happy.  Then when we had that $1000 night of sales at the CCR Flymart, we wanted to do something for the IOS players that no one else could do.

The trophy parts were a Christmas gift from Kelsey to me in 2008.  I did the assembly.  Turning all those tiny screw eyes into the rubber parts and prying open the chain links is work.  My finger tips still hurt.  It takes me about two hours to make one of those baskets and I get $50 per hour for part-time work, so each one of those is a $100 trophy!   >:D

I was floored by the promotional efforts of the Mokena Park District.  I really don't think PDGA tournaments with the $10 fee are a good value for non-members, so you saw me on this message board trying to gently shoo away non-members.  Typing in address data for 44 non-members is going to be like typing up a phone book.

Scores are up but the TD report may be delayed!

Did the three floaters work out o.k. for flow?  The course seemed big enough.  At the Michigan States we played a stupid short course with three floaters and it worked out fine, so I ignored Kelsey's advice (NOOOO FLOATERS!!!) and set up the leaderboard for the three floater scenario.

The 2nd round seemed to flow pretty good. We only waited on a few holes. We were backed up the first round but that had nothing to do with floaters. The groud ahead played pretty slow and there was an open hole ahead of them.
