Doug, what are you talking about?  The last wildcard spot in the AFC is 7-5, just like in the NFC.  9-7 has a chance in both conferences.  I can't believe we're discussing which conference is better overall.  Who cares?  There is no big advantage either way.  The AFC leads head to head 24-22 so far.  There is 1 thing for sure, the Packers are way ahead of everybody.

whoa, hang on. never once did I say the AFC was better this year!  I just said it must be nice to get into the playoffs at 9-7.  The piss poor AFC WEST has to have a playoff team(remember the 7-9 Seahawks last year)  That will be the only AFC team that makes the playoffs at 9-7.    The NFC will most likely have 3 in at 9-7
And yes, if Rodgers stays healthy, they should repeat!

Let's face it. Even if the Bears happen to stumble into the playoffs they aren't going to make a run anyway.

They should go out and hire Farve. Their one and only goal the reast of the season should be to beat Green Bay with Farve. That would make this season a success to me ruining their 16-0 run. Far fetched yes but how awesome would that be.

What a sad pathetic way to go through life, wishing misery on someone else....  but if the Bears were headed towards 16-0 I would hope that the Packers could bring Sid Luckman back from the dead to beat the Bears.

Very true.  Even if Cutler and Forte were never injured, this would still be true...unless we played in the AFC.

Do you think the Packers will rest Rodgers at all in the final couple games?

maybe after they have a 21+ point lead late in the game. I think they are determined to do what the Patriots couldn't do a few years back!  19-0

and LMMFAO at unless the Bears were in the AFC!!  Funniest thing ever!

I think the Packers are going to go for 16-0.  I think that if they have a comfortable lead in the last game they may rest Rodgers. It seems like they are approaching it in the right way and saying the right things. It would be brutal if he got hurt after they got home field wrapped up.

I am not sure about Rodgers being on the field when Suh is on the field, that guy appears to be a real head case after reading what is going on with his latest incident.

Favre released a statement an hour ago.  The title on the story: "No comeback: Favre harbors 'no plans to play football' again"  for his sake, I'm glad.  I can handle #4 in purple and gold, but blue and orange? don't make me puke!

Yea that game was brutal last night. Ideally Pittsburgh and Indy both get removed from prime time slots for the rest of the season.

This still holds true.

Hey Taylor?  just a friendly reminder..

Tune in to NFL Network tonight to watch the Steelers become the 1st team in the AFC to reach 10 wins!   and oh yea, and not make the playoffs!!  LOL

Anybody want to continue to question the NFL's decision to put horrible games on primetime featuring the Steelers? Congrats on the big wins against the dominant Browns, Chiefs and Colts. Best hope they can take one of the top two seeds so they can make it to the second round of the playoffs!

if they get the #5 seed, they will beat either Denver or Oakland!  Palmer is petrified of the Steelers!  and Ben was hobbled the entire 2nd half. was painful to watch. so of course they didn't put up 30 points. but they didn't need to when the Browns only scored 3  ;D

and Brett probably cares. I'm sure he started him in his fantasy league last night?

eh, no.  despite a strong finish and an impressive WR core, he has once again been eliminated before the playoffs as I seek my 2nd consecutive title   :D  big ben screwed me too in my other league.  he sucked this year.

fantasy wise, I'm sure he did, as their are just a handful of QB's that have great fantasy years.

that's why big ben is sitting on my bench.  Although it does help that I took Aaron Rodgers first overall in the draft... only 8-team league, but I have a 3-game lead on the rest of the league, 2 weeks left before playoffs (annoying that we're doing weeks 16 and 17) nice to already have the #1 seed locked up and have a 100 point lead on most points scored, woo!

and since no one cares about my fantasy team... is it worth buying Packers division champ gear?  It's almost like congrats, you tried, but couldn't win it all.  I kinda feel bad for the Steelers fans that wear AFC Champs stuff.  The one shirt I do NOT want to see getting printed this year is another 18-1 shirt.  THAT would hurt!

No one has anything to say about yesterday's games?

stpitner

haha, guess I shouldn't be mad that they pulled Rodgers early preventing him from getting some more stats to keep his string of 100+ QB rating games going.  Oh wait, you weren't talking about that game...

I was talking about any game. The Packers dismantle Oakland and Rodgers doesn't play in the fourth quarter and all anyone wants to talk about is Tebow's fourth quarter.  It is pretty amazing.

stpitner

someone wrote in to Mike and Mike this morning on ESPN complaining about the Tebow talk vs 13-0, and Mike and Mike's response was essentially the game was a blowout, there was really nothing to talk about other than Jennings hurting his knee.

If it was the Patriots 13-0?  I guarantee you Tebow would be getting practically no mention at all.  Stupid east coast bias - and Tebow isn't even on the east coast!
