I think the $5 was for the 50-50 hole. If you said put me in everything, they probably did. My entry cost me $35 for everything, which was $28 + $2 Ace Pool + $5 50-50.

At the last minute Brian apparently upped the Rec entry to $23. That was a surprise to me, but it wasn't for any of the other items. 50/50 CTP was still separate.

Yeah, I paid $23 also.  It would have been nice to have been advised of the change but I have no complaints.  There was, as Bruce noted above, plenty of bang for the buck. The food and the genrous nature of the volunteers went a very long way with me. Brian seemed a little frazzled and annoyed early as some of the volunteers were late and he was holding the bag.  To say the least, it all worked out quite well.

This is one of my favorite events of the year. Both courses are very different and require a variety of shots. I was actually glad reg did not open on time. It gave me some extra time to get out and throw that morning. This could probably be the biggest event in IL & IN if it were listed with the PDGA earlier and advertised more. With all divisions on 1 day, free lunch and dinner, huge pro payouts, am payouts, & prices of champ/star, this event sets the standard in this area.

At our tournaments we close merch during awards.  While we are doing leaderboards you can put stuff on lay away, but once awards start, step away from the merch table!   8)

Oh, my only complaint I have about the Homie is that the shirts continue to get uglier each year ;D.

I'll keep this in mind for the future and not be so nice about leaving the discs I want up for grabs. I'm still pretty bitter about the ordeal. :)
If you wound up getting discs you did not want so much, bring them to the Fairfield Farewell.  I'll often trade new, unmarked, for new.

For those of you who were at the Homie and know who Brian Cummings is (he was the TD with the microphone), check out your Disc Golf World magazine or whatever it is called that just came out last week.  In the 1986 flashback section, I think on the first page (I don't have it here with me to check), at the bottom there is a picture of Brian from 20 years back with some other people.  I just thought that was neat when I saw that :)

Does anyone know how long the turnaround time usually is for this group to post the results up on PDGA?  Maybe you remember how long it was for last year's event?  I'm just anxious to see all the scores again even though I didn't even win :)  I also wanted to see my ratings because I felt like I did pretty well in the 2nd round.

I played in a B tier on Sept 16 that still isn't up yet either...so I feel your pain on both accounts. Being a TD is a losing battle though because most of the time it's just negative feedback and not much gratitude out of running a tournament, so I try not to complain about the small stuff like that. I just like to see my scores! :D

Definitely not complaining (been tough enough to wait this long to post the question that I did! hehe)... and yes, I'm definitely spoiled by the amazingly fast speeds that Jon gets everything posted.  Just chompin at the bit to see the scores again lol.  It's my first not-run-by-Jon sanctioned event, so the wait will take some getting used to :)

The red roc event I played on Sept 3 was posted last week

Looks like Brian is reporting sooner than last year. I played Riverside last year & was still bugging him about the results come '06. 1 month is not bad considering.

At Riverside on Sunday, Brian said to look for them sometime this week hopefully.  I am anxious too even though I played terrible.  Always curious to see my round ratings.

The Il St Chmps now has scores and unofficial ratings.  Homie doesn't.

The Homie went down a notch in my estimation this year, maybe two notches.  I felt like Brian took the ams for granted this year.

I couldn't find that tourney on the PDGA tour pages. Can you provide a link please Bruce?

What were your concerns with Homie's and the Ams?

I don't see anything new for the IL State Championships, Adoni had those scores & ratings up on 7/10/06.

Homie scores are posted, yay!  Wow... didn't realize the pro's had that big of a payout to the first couple of places, nice to see!  Wish I could see ratings... that's what I really want to see.  I probably won't see that until the ratings update will I...

It was average, but with food.  When you have good amateur attendance you can do much more than B-tier amateur payouts and donated food.  I suppose he spent a lot on the trophies.  It just seemed average, nothing special, other than the donated food which was delicious and much appreciated.

I think what I'm saying is, I know where the $1,000 added to the pros came from.  I ran Byron Big D Doubles this year with 115% payouts for the amateurs AND I paid $1110 to the golf course for green fees.  I had about the same number of amateurs to work with also.

If you just think about it objectively,

Food - Good food.
Player Packs - pretty lame
CTPs - not this year
Payouts - average
Merch selection - average

Here are the scores.  He must have e-mailed them in because there are no unofficial ratings.
