So how would this affect the point standings for those people having to change divisions in the middle of a series?
Just to make it entirely clear, their points are frozen.  If a player earns enough points in Intermediate to win a season trophy disc, he gets his season trophy disc even if he gets bumped up to advanced for the last leg.

Went up there today, first time this year. Course looks good and the limestone isn't even that beat up - did you redo it before the doubles?

14a is a nice new little hole, and the swamps are reasonably dry.

I even hit the basket on #9 - sounded like it hit the top, and managed to stay only about 10 ft away  8) Actually the way the wind was blowing it was a good thing it hit something...

How many holes for this? Is there a hole going to the new practice basket? there's probably a listing of the layout but I can't find it.

thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

The limestone has not been worked on since last summer. It's holding up pretty good this year. It's going to be 20 holes. Yes, there will be a hole plyaing to the practice basket. The 19th hole will play from the path leading from 11 to 12. There should have been some paint & dirt marking the spot from yesterday.

I'll bet the swamps aren't dry after last night!!! Did the farther North suburbs get the flash flood of Arlington Heights/Wheeling last night? Several streets were so flooded that cars were getting stranded!!

It rained hard in Gurnee, but no where near what Arlington Heights, Streamwood and many of the suburbs in Cook, Kane, and Dupage counties received.

It came down pretty good in Algonquin. Lots-o-hail and the wind was so strong, it broke my flag pole in half!

Are we doing yellow rope this year?     We have one spool less yellow rope than last year!   >:(

Trophy discs are under dye.  Overall plaques have been ordered for first in the divisions where there have been competitiors playing the series.  If you are curious about your division, ask.

I was thinking today, that in addition to people being bumped up, there are a couple that can play down. As a service to the players, if Becky sees an int player playing advanced on Saturday she may want to mention that they can come back and play again on Sunday.

I saw on the news this mnorning that Wheeling got 3" + of rain last night.  Do we need to send a rescue boat? I drove through serious hail last night  @845 pm to come home to some seepage.  Fortunately, we got home in time to arrest any tide and to minimize any damage. I love shopvacs! Of course, I forgot to look out the back window to see if my skillshot is still in the backyard.  ??? ??? Hope its still there and in one piece.

Becky and I were stranded on high ground in a church parking lot last night on our way home from class. Maddisen was at home alone in the dark because the power had gone off a little after 8pm. After the rain slowed to a drizzle we drove on thru a subdivision looking for a way to Buffalo Grove Road that wasn't under several feet of water. We kept getting within a block and then having to turn back because of high water. Arlington Heights road was a river in parts, class 5 rapids in other parts and a lake in still other places. We finally found our way to a higher section of Arlington Heights Road that lead us to Dundee. There was a part of Dundee that was only passable in the left turn lane which made a big backup but we finally made it home. I've never seen rain come down that hard for such a sustained amount of time.

The AccuWeather foreguess is highs in the 60s and partly sunny weather.  I hate it when the foreguess is that rosy ten days out!

Anyway we have about 70 players on the list at PDGA.com.  I think Brett said he was putting some names on the list just to save time later, and not all of them are pre-registered.  If you pre-registered, you are pre-registered.  If Brett just put you on the list to save time later, you are not pre-registered.  If you forgot, ask Brett.

Dr. Dye tells me that what he is doing is on schedule.  The trophy man tells me the plaques will be done on time.  Looking forward to it.

Last year we almost filled the lower day.  The Bears have a Monday night game this time, so we might fill.  Also, what with all the funky Illinois tournaments I keep reading about with no payouts and strange payouts, some players might be hungry for some well run sanctioned disc golf with generous am value.

Thanks to the Brakels & Brett and everyone else that makes the IOS great!

I dont know what you guys are talking about.  A full set of OdysseyTM discs is more than adequate for a first place finish (super-gyroscopic technology!!).  Definitely worth the entry fee.

I would like all of the players who normally have only Discraft in their tournament bag to see me on SAturday or Sunday for their year end thank-you gift.  I never really announced the year-end bonus before because I never thought we'd get there in one year.  I talked about it with Jon, Brett and a few others, but they didn't see it happening either.  The bonus is not so big as to call it a bonus but it is big enough to call it a thank-you gift.  Here's my list of suspected Discraft-only bags:

Barrett
Jon
Apostolou Sr.
Myself

If there are others, let me know so I can divide up the bonus more generously.  If you are like one disc away, join the IOS Discraft Team!  Thank you for supporting the people who support our series.
