Well, I went back & checked out the scores from the HPC Memorial. Pretty much the same format. 3 Rounds of 12 Holes. I can't remember what alternates we played.

Pro 94 (-14)

Adv 101 (-7)

Am 109 (+1)



Here is what i'm predicting for the Blast

Pro 95 (-13)

Advanced (-8)

Am (-3)

....hmph. This from an 'advanced' player who shot 97 yesterday. ;p  Brett, you gonna turn pro for this one?



I'll say -15, -10, -5. Unless the weather's lousy.



I'd venture that on the whole the new holes ABC will prove slightly tougher than the ballfield alternates used for HPC. You'll see a fair # of deuces on Hole A and the shortest Hole B, several from middle B and maybe all placements of C, but it'll be interesting to see if even the pros can make long B in two throws.

Don't bag your a am player not a junior. You may not win, whereas you would in junior, but you will get better, by being forced to make better shots, and by watching players around you that are better, and learning from the mistakes of the worse players.



Heres a fyi btw, Steve Rico won his first pro even at the age of 16, Garret Gurthie, a Gateway sponsored player, is 14 and plays pro.

I know, which is why there is a dilemma as to which to shoot. If I shoot am, your right, I probably won't win. But If I was to signup for the PDGA I would be 17] aka, Junior..

I turn 17 October 26th, so technically I'm still a "junior". It's stupid to argue. I'll probably lose reguardless of what divison I shoot in considering the way I've been tossin' lately.. :(

In the meantime, for the Blast, we will rope off an area between Basket #9 and the soccer field, just in case casual soccer players gather there. But I am expecting no conflicts.

For Blast registration, please add:
Sean Gilbert, Intermediate Amateur, paid cash, no pdga, no acerace.

Talked to Mike Trigg today. He likes the bridges. he likes Hole B.  He's letting us use the big tent as well as the picnic pavilions. woo-hoo.

I received the discs/prizes from Sun King yesterday.  One or two minor issues, but no biggies. Many of the prize discs are AWESOME!!!  I mean truly AWESOME!!!  The regular raffle will have no fewer than 11 winners!!!

We will also be vending for Sun King. Many of the discs for sale are at good prices, some very good.  We'll also be selling some Innova DX plastic (Aviar X-outs, some Leopards, some Rocs)  for $5 each.

Much more to say, but y'all will have to wait for the players' meeting!
