Thanks for posting those Eric.

I just want to add context here - it was fairly windy and the tee pads were quite slippery.   :-[

Here are unofficial ratings.  I fixed the 76/67 error.

I fixed the Younkin error too.  I think I must have used David Younker's rating by accident.  Stubby finger error.

lol, you want payouts not as big? haha, fine with me! :P  I wanted to make sure we had at least a 150% payout, and I think once everything is added up we'll be at that level if not even higher.

But hey, it makes you want to play the next event, no? ;)

Haha no I mean not as deep, not less! For example, instead of paying 3 people out of 4 in advanced only pay out to 2 max. It's tough in a 4 person division anyways to get the payouts correct because even paying out 2 people is 50% of the field. But like I said, in a smaller unsanctioned tourney it is nice that everyone can leave with something. The CTP prizes were great!

I calculated ratings...

You marked the wrong score for my second round.  It should be 67 not 76.  Not that it means a whole lot.  :)

Payouts were actually strictly determined by the PDGA payout tables.  It was set up to pay out to 3 places for 4-5 people playing.  Unless I looked at the wrong column... I was calculating the payouts in between the time I received the call to go to the hospital and when I actually left.  I may have been a little scatter brained.  But for the first time that either Eric or myself have gone to this extreme to get everything coordinated and ready to go, I enjoyed it.

Let's just hope that the ground is snow-free, water-free, and decent temperatures the next time that I have take out all of the discs and put them up for sale lol.

Thanks for running the ratings Bruce, I'll have to compare it to what I use and see if I come up with the same numbers.

Please in no way consider my responses any bit of a complaint. Eric asked for suggestions so I was just passing on my thoughts! :) I had a great time and met some new people, so the goal was accomplished. I have not run a tournament nor have I looked at the PDGA paytables in the past.

Cool thanks Bruce but I think my PDGA player rating is wrong (maybe it's me that's wrong   ^_^ )

Um, I must have got your sister's rating by accident.  I'll fix that.

Fixed.  This time for sure!

I always run two separate spreadsheets, in order to obtain ratings for each round (as apposed to an average rating for both rounds)....but that's just my picky self putting in my $0.02.

I just ran the software the way it runs.  I did not know it would combine the rounds for a tournament rating rather than two round ratings.

E-Rock did a nice job of running this tournament and his enthusiasm showed.  I had a really fun time at this event, the putt off between the morning and the afternoon rounds was fun, the people were fun, and having a playoff for 1st place in my 1st tournament as intermediate was fun too.
Not to take anything away from Heath, but if Taylor didn't smash my hand with my TL I think the outcome would have been different ;)  jk Taylor, thanks for retrieving my disc from the tree  (yeah that's right...tree )

want to know how awesome of a tournament those of you who didn't come out missed out on?  Check out these overall payouts:

Pro - 287.5% payout (cash + 2 ctp's)
Advanced - 187.8% payout (trophy, 2 ctp's, gift certificates, and merch)
Intermediate - 151.3% payout (trophy, 2 ctp's, gift certificates, and merch)
Rec - 171% payout (trophy, 2 ctp's, gift certificates, and merch)

Now how's that for a payout??? lol, pretty AWESOME if you ask me.  The next tournament on April 28th - "Don't Be Fooled" will not have quite as lavish of a payout ratio as this tournament IS PDGA-Sanctioned and a lot of money has to go towards sanctioning, insurance, course usage, all that fun stuff.  But make sure to max out that field on April 28th and we'll be sure to still have a GREAT payout!
