What a fun week of disc golf. I was very impressed with the staff pulling off an event of 900 disc golfers.

The courses were sweet. Timber Ridge, Oshtemo, Coldbrook, Victory. All 4 were very different and tested your entire game. I was able to play Robert Morris on Saturday. All 5 were better than any course around here. I wish I had Victory as a home course!! I am sad to be home to play these weak courses.

I was able to play with some very good golfers all week. Chris Sprague, Chris Heeren, Garrett Gurthie, Shawn Sinclair, &  Manabu Kajiyama all made the semis. I had a blast playing 9 holes with Markus Kallstrom & Michael Johansen prior to the Oshtemo round. Kallstrom was throwing a Piranha 300 feet.

Gotta give a shout out to David Nelson for jacking an ace on hole 18 at Robert Morris. What a sick hole. 350 ft downhill thru a tunnel. Just awesome!

While waiting 1hr & 5 minutes to tee off after putting out on #13 at Timber Ridge I was able to see some of the best players in the world throw 2 of the toughest holes on the course. It's just amazing what some of these guys can do with a disc.

As for Feldberg. I have never seen any player complain more than him. It started on Sunday at the putting competition and didn't end until Saturday.

Becky reports that Feldberg was complaining before that.  When 300 players all decided to practice Oshtemo on Friday because it was close to tournament central, he was complaining that the course was crowded.

Meanwhile, I'm glad you all had a good time at Worlds.  I'm glad you enjoyed the courses and the tournament generally.  I think the courses were as good as the courses for Iowa Worlds or the previous Michigan Worlds.

Kelsey says that was her last tournament in Advanced Women, but going pro is not anything she plans on doing soon.  She was too shy to make a speech at the awards, but she thanked Diana and I privately, and thanked the TD in the parking lot.

Congratulations to all of our members who played Worlds!!!

Perhaps I cut Feldberg too much slack. Down with whiny pros (or any whiny players for that matter)! I think there are lots of cool pros and several of the top pro players are very cool...Feldberg and Climo just don't happen to be two of them, unfortunately. That's why whenever someone calls Kenny the ambassador of disc golf I always say "He's not MY ambassador!"  ;D

There is some great coverage of Friday on this thread. You can really get a good idea what Timber Ridge looks like. What a sick course!

That's a sweet video. Kelsey made a nice drive and upshot on that one. It was cool that her division had the winner putt out last. Usually only pro divisions think to do that.

Those shots that were parked are awesome to watch...poetry in motion!

I heard about this from Diabetic Dave, but it's nice to see it on video. Too bad they missed most of the comeback putt.

Worlds was actually very profitable for the PDGA and the host club.  It took until November or December to settle up on all the bills and account for everything, but the tournament made a net profit of $10,752.  That's $10,752 left over after paying for everything.  Normally the PDGA picks a host club that can be counted on to (a) run the tournament for a profit, and (b) put a fair bit of the profit into the pro payouts at an A-tier or NT next year.  I don't know if anyone besides maybe Taylor noticed this on pdga.com, but the Kalamazoo post-Worlds NT was just canceled.

It makes me wonder if the $5,000 from Worlds was managed with the same fidelity as your average league's ace pool money.
