Attached is the course infomation sheet and score card. Thanks for the help Dan! The 5th & 6th Temporary holes have yet to be designed.

...I think there's a path along the right side of 18's fairway. That's not OB? (maybe it's the road, it was dark and I was tired...  :P)
thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Attached is a sample of the trophies my dad is working on. He's making a few minor tweaks but for the most part here is what they will look like.

Very nice, good image of the signature pin too!

I looked, but didn't notice any On-line registrations for this.  Is there any?

If not, that is alright, it just means that I have to actually write something on real paper, and put a stamp on an envelope, and actually wait for mail to travel... :o

This course looks really nice, and I'm looking forward to it.

I decided not to offer the online reg that the PDGA is offering until I get some feedback for other TD's that have used it.

Just have to prereg the old fashioned way. Thank you for registering early!

Brett, you can mark me down for a spot in the Pro field. I'll be sending my reg money in this week. Just waited until now to make sure the weekend was clear for me and to hear what others thought of the course. Sounds like it's pretty tasty.

I also posted something for Scott on the other thread to grab one of those CFR Destroyers for the event also to add to my collection.

Thanks,

Ben Douglas

Here is a current list of preregistered players. There are a few that I know are on the way. 120 player limit. I anticipate this event filling. Sinnissippi is a sweet course!

Hey Dan,

What are your favorite holes on this course? Any chance of losing a disc on this course to water? I am a little nervous after losing 3 of them this past weekend.

Venser

I have a feeling that the river, and the creek in the course are going to be pretty high.

I played Sinnissippi yesterday.  The creek is ankle deep and clear and the river does not come into play.  Your discs are safe.

The course is greening up nicely!  Sunday was great out there, and quite a few people were taking advantage.  Had to be carefull on #3 not to clock a stroller.  The stairs down to #5 are gone and the bridge moved to the right.  There is also a large berm of leaves between the walkway and the ravine on #5 that acts as a nice stop to save discs from sliding o.b.  I'm thinking that pile of leaves will be removed for the tourney?

I like Sinnissippi a lot, mostly for the front eight.  Nine and following are ok, but 1 through eight are special.  I'm trying to arrange to be at the tourney, but Mother's Day weekend is tough.  We'll see.

Dan Michler

the only way you'll lose a disc is if you are retarded like me and leave them lay around.

Brett, I just want to thank you for bringing a tournament back to Sinnissippi.  I'm still only in my 2nd year of playing the sport,  and this will be the first time that I have the opportunity to play a tournament at my home course.  Thanks for that!

The park district staff were out raking leaves on Friday, so a lot more of the old oak leaves should be cleared before next weekend.  This should help speed up play and prevent players from having to look for any discs sliding under patches of these leaves, as they do get thick in the fall (and until they are removed in the spring).  Areas are being mowed (hole 9, for example), so things are looking good for next weekend.  I've never seen all the leaves be pushed down near the creek on hole 5 (usually over behind the tee of hole 4), but even if they remain, it may save a few discs from rolling into the creek.

As shallow as the creek normally is, it was a hard rainstorm last year that sent a lot of drainage water into this creek and actually washed out the bridge on signature hole 5.  It was relocated to the right, with a new dirt path leading up to it. The former wooden steps leading to the bridge are now gone.  There were some 4x4 wooden steps added into the new dirt path for steps, but these have been torn out by someone.  You can usually leave your bag and grab your putter before heading down this path and across the bridge.  The bridge isn't as sturdy as it was, but it should be fine for the tournament's traffic.

There is no standing water at the end of the tee pads, as some of the online photos showed.  Puddles only exist at the end of teh pads after a shower.  Last year they added a new pad for hole 9 (left of the original one) perhaps to keep discs from landing in residential yards to the right of the fairway, or to save the tree nursery located near the original pad.

With reference to your OB list for the course, which indicates that 'on and over streets are OB' for the course, I just wanted to add for those reading the forum and that might not be able to visit the course before next weekend that streets come into play on two permanent holes:

Hole 18:  park road runs along the right side of the fairway.  If your drive goes to the right(and doesn't come back), you will be OB.

Hole 12:  This basket is located at the entrance of the park.  Similar to hole 18, the park road runs along the right side of the fairway.  Also, if you over drive the hole, a street may come into play past the basket.

The past couple of days have been windy but today is a great day to check out the course!

Alan! hows it going? This is Nathan who you played a couple rounds with yesterday, and!......well we don't want to scare anyone off from the tourney so lets just say...wittnessed that amazing shot. ;)  Well I went out again today and played an alright round. I will be playing in this tournament and signed up for the PDGA also. Thanks for telling me about this tournament otherwise I would of been really disapointed that I didn't get a chance to play in it at Sinnissippi. Can't wait for this tournament! going to be great.

P.S. Instead of hole 12, I think you mean't hole 13, which I did both of what you mentioned. :-[  Let me know when you'll be out there practicing again.

Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.

Tom McManus

Thanks for the updates regarding the condition of the course.
