Well, the park district did some major trimming to trees. It's really too bad. The trimming really made this course easier again. They trimmed the huge willow tree by #9. There are no longer willows hanging to the left of the basket. They cut major limbs off the willows by #1 as well. The flight path directly to the basket for #10 has opened drastically. I can't believe how many limbs they had laying in the park today.

I can't wait until we get those 3 holes done. Jim, once the summer comes, i'll be able to spend a few more hours out there. They will be sweet holes.  I also agree with Mirth that cleanups & all that good stuff should be after leagues. Thanks for all the hard work Jim!

That's not a bad idea. How about getting a new basket & having the park district try to fix it & use it as a practice basket?

Jim,

I have a guy who sold me my Mach3 portable for $250.00. What kind of price did you get from DGW? Did you talk to SunKing on a price as well?

Jim,

I'll be out there. All I have to do is get through next week. I'll start spending some time out there helping out. Just be patient & it'll all come together before June 7th.

Also, when the new basket comes in, we need to make sure players know it was paid for by DISContinuum. I would like to put something on the basket saying "paid & installed by DISContinuum Disc Golf Club".

I have a case of orange field paint that I barrowed:) We can use this for tournies for now on. Mirth, do you still have flags? We can mark the tees for the widdershins.

I will be out there Saturday morning & most likely Jason. I'll be ready to do some work with play to follow.

I think holes A & C can be complete by the end of the day.

Jim, I think you are totally insane if you think we can clear B. That is some of the worst brush I have seen. Even the brush near the path tore up my weed eater & was hard to cut. A lawnmower can take out the grass but there is thorns & other thick brush. I just don't see getting that fairway cleared without a brush cutter.

I'll be there helping & will give it a try.

Jason will be there. I talked to him last night.

I think getting A&C complete & waiting on B is a good decision. I'd rather have B worked on by the park district so we have a great hole instead of killing ourselves & having an average hole.

The old Blast Hole A is a good hole. When I walked back there on Sunday, the path was mowed. It's really not that bad & will take little work to get it set up.

Hole A is ready to go. The basket is in the ground & all 3 tee pads are done. The fairway needs some wood chips & the path leading to #7 needs some work but it is totally playable.

Hole C is also ready to go. The basket is in the ground. I totally love this hole. There is only 1 tee pad complete so we'll have to install the other 2 sometime.

I think we should # the new holes #A1, #A2, & #A3. & the same for B&C.

We need to measure & mark the tee pads somehow.

I love the Mach5 baskets. Bevier has improved already!

I wonder how many discs they found when they cleared #7.

Also, If they do allow us to use the other side of the power lines, that would be cool. That would open up some other possibilities for other holes as well.

If possible, i'd rather see the B you planned Jim, go in the ground. I don't think Bevier needs any more short holes at this point. I guess beggers can't be choosers though.

Jim & I had some fun tonight.

I'm going to start with the negatives. I played like poop again but that is not what pisses me off. Someone threw the bridge in the water going from C to #9. At first I thought it got washed away but they also threw the 4 stone walkway squares in the water too. There isn't a chance in hell those got washed in. Can you say ASSHOLES! I think it's those pricks with the go karts & 4 wheelers. They are riding right next to the basket C & they even found their way to the fairway of A. Anyone have some barbed wire we can string across to take off their heads? :)

Now, lets get to the good stuff.

First, we were interested & remeasured #9. It is a whopping 286ft. I knew that sign was off but man, 46 feet.

I'd like to reameasure all the holes out there. Anyone want to help me?

While i'm making the tee markers for Fairfield, i'm going to make stones for Holes A & C while i'm at it.

Can anyone make some NEXT TEE signs & get them laminated? It would be nice to have 3 of those since we now will have 3 holes no one knows about.

Next, we went back & checked out the soon to be Hole B. We measured it from the regular tee location & it will be around 250FT.  The long will play around 270FT. Not sure where the 3rd tee location is going to be. This hole is going to be much better than I thought. It may become the toughest hole on the course.
