Johnny B,

Welcome to the board! Sorry to hear about you problems with the soccer players. It's frustrating at times. Did you know there are 2 additional holes on the course? Hole A is in the woods after hole 6 & Hole C is to the east of hole #9. There is a path right next to the tee pad of #9 that leads to the basket of C. If you've only been playing a few weeks & you are scoring 30, you are doing pretty good. Keep practicing. Hopefully we can get that #9 basket move in front of the creek. That would be great to have 2 pin locations.

Mirth,

Jim & I tried to put the bridge back into place. We were able to get all 4 concrete stones out of the water. We did move the bridge slightly but it is not put back in the correct spot. We needed a few other guys to pick it up. We didn't feel like getting into the water & that is what it's going to take to put it back. It is crossable with the way it is laying now.

It would be nice to get an alternate pin placement for #9. Maybe we can start working on that ASAP. I still need to go with Jim to the WPD.

Jim is the head of Bevier. His plans are to put B where they cleared. It is going to be a bad ass hole. Can't wait until it is done.

Hole B is ready to go! All the park district has to do is put the basket in & clear some of the piles of branches.

You guys won't believe the bridge that is out there. Adrian & Al did an awesome job!!! You'll crap your pants when you see it.

A lot of people are going to hate this hole with a passion. Tight long fairway with low ceiling. Any high shot will get bounced into the creek or into some thick rough. Oh yeah, & the pin is set protected to the right. There will be many bogies on this hole.

The crew removed all the debris. They spread some wood chips but not much. It didn't look like they did a whole lot. The wood chips they did leave need to be leveled.

Hole A-] Needs to be weed whacked & stumps need to be removed. There is still quite a bit of debris that needs to be removed from the fairway. Wood chips need to be spread on fairway.

Hole B-] Tee Pads need to be marked & measured. There is still quite a bit of debris that needs to be removed from the fairway. Basket needs to go into the ground. There is quite a bit of garbage near the creek. Wood chips need to be spread on fairway.

Hole C-] There is still quite a bit of deris that needs to be removed from the fairway. There is quite a bit of garbage near the fairway & creek. It would also be nice to paint the bridge green like the bridge on hole B. Wood chips need to be spread on fairway.

Creek-] Right now the creek is dry. What a perfect time to work on the creek. We removed quite a bit of debris & garbage from the creek. I'd like to see more debris & garbage removed starting just north of basket C and all the way south of basket b.  This would really enhance the play of holes B & C. It would also be cool to put some nice sized rocks in the creek by holes B & C so there is a place to step if you do happen to throw you disc in the creek.

The holes are all playable the way they are now but it would be nice to show off 3 new great holes for the Blast.

Let's find this ****sucker & kick his !@#.

I will chip in $25.00 if it has been stolen & this guy is caught. So the reward is up to $125.00.

Again, if this basket was stolen, there a not a lot of people who even know that basket is back there. Besides league players, i've never seen anyone playing Hole C. Maybe we have a decent chance of finding this guy.

The good news is that Kevin Lenth has done a spectacular job fixing old basket #1 that was crushed by the tree earlier this summer. At least we have a basket to replace it with.

Maybe for 2004 we should start adding a $1.00 basket fee to all DISContinuum Tournaments. I figure we can get enough for 1 basket every year.

Man, what a crazy day. Here I thought the basket was stolen. I think i'm more pissed now than I was yestarday. I have the pole & basket at my house right now. The concrete is attached to the pole & the lock is there. It is in good shape, nothing bent or destroyed. I have no idea where the top assembly is.

Well, I think the list of suspects can be narrowed to the 4-wheeling bandits. I've never seen any other kids in that area by holes B & C.

First, the C Bridge was destroyed & the concrete stones were dumped in the water.

Second, someone destroyed the bench that was by hole C.

Third, Hole C basket was destroyed.

Obviosly these are not disc golfers. let's catch these bastards & hangem.

Jim,

It may be tough to clean the creek now. When I was there last night, water has begun to flow slightly. The water has made it to Bridge C but not bridge B. We might be able to get some of it done though.

The course is looking outstanding!!! The park district laid wood chips on the path from 6 to A & down A's fairway. They also laid wood chips on the east side of bridge of B's fairway & the path to C. They laid wood chips down around the opening by C's basket & to the bridge of C. They picked up all the garbage by C as well. It looks great!!

I also found out who destroyed the bench by C's basket. I was a couple of kids I know from school. They are both about 70lbs soaking wet so I don't think they could carry C's basket. They told me they destroyed the bench but have done nothing else. They are good kids & I believe they didn't do the other stuff. I told them there was a $125.00 reward for whoever finds the guys who did it. I also told them I would give them $25.00 if they found the upper assembly. They live right across the street. Maybe they will find some info for us.

I did some work on the alternate tees today. Some have been moved slightly. Below is what I did.

#20 was moved forward about 5 feet to give more run up room.

#22 was moved to the west about 10 feet to give more room by #3 basket. It is much more of an anhyzer shot.

#24 was moved forward about 5 feet away from the slope by the sidewalk.

#16 tee pad was leveled.

#17 & #26 were flip flopped. Now that the rough by #7 is cut, there is no protection from shots that will be overthrown from #16. Hole #25 will be played while #26 will be the short wooded hole is played. There should not be any over throws from #25.

#18 tee pad was leveled.

Jim & I will be out @ Bevier on Thursday night to discuss holes 12-21, 14-23, & 25. There may be some slight changes to make a more tournament friendly layout.

Jim,

I wasn't for sure if you were going to use those measurments that you found for holes 12, 14, 21, 23, & 25. You might want to hold off until Thursday night if you are going to update maps & scorecards. Some of those stone circles are off big time. Example, #11 was listed @ 320feet. It's 359 feet.
