They are giving DX Eagles out now for the new PDGA Discs, better than the black Storm I have.

I'm pretty sure they just randomly send out discs. I got a 150 DX Valkyrie. Everyone i've talked to seems to get something different.

The last 3 people I know who have registered all received the Storm.

When does the "drive" for next year's memberships begin through the club? You save $5 right?

Yes, you save $5.00. We usually start that & try to send it in around the 1st of the year. We'll post it.

We'll start taking renewals in October but won't send them in until late December, so new PDGA memberships taken won't show until mid January... Unless we get 20 or more PDGA memberships. They have to be sent in batches of at least 10

So, if I renew my PDGA membership through Discontinuum, I will save $5, or is that just for new PDGA members only?

you save $5, regardless if you're renewing or a new member

Ok this is a little off topic from what you all are talking about, but I saw the "PDGA Related" and "PDGA Memberships" topics, so I thought I'd ask.

I'll be turning 16 on Sept 6th and I wonder if I'll still be able to play in MJ2. The reason why I am asking this is that even though in the PDGA rulebook that it says:

"804.08  CLASSIFICATION OF PLAYERS
E. Amateur Divisions: Amateur players compete for trophies and/or prizes
(5) Juniors (under 16): An amateur division for players under 16 years of age on the date the tournament ends."

they also say that in the "2005 PDGA Tour Standards" that "Junior divisions changed from date of birth to year of birth."

Also, on the "2005 PDGA Tour Player Divisions, Ratings, & Points Factors" (2005 PDGA Tour Player Divisions, Ratings, & Points Factors) that the Division Name reads " Age 16 & Under>

So, for the upcoming IOS# 6, I wonder if I could play in my division.

Thanks

My understanding of the rule change is that if you were under 16 in any part of the year, you can play in the under 16 division for the entire year.

It's that time of the year. If you have never been a PDGA member here is your best chance to do so. You get 16 months of membership for the price of 12. You can pay for a membership online or at the Blast this weekend. I highly encourage you to join the PDGA. The magazine is great & you get some good stuff the first year.

If they sign up for membership do they avoid the $5 fee for a non-PDGA member?

the best thing about joining is the magazine and the membership card

I think the best thing is the free ratings.

When I got home from school (about 3:45-ish), it worked. Maybe it was in my history.

The club will be taking PDGA memberships & sending in a bundle near the first of the year. You save $5.00 if you renew or join thru the club. This is one of many club benefits if you are a member. Take advantage of it.

The PDGA is talking about rasing the fee from $5.00 to $8.00 for nonmembers that play in sanctioned events. This is a perfect time to join the PDGA if & save some $.

Kenny & Nick, save some $ next year ;) .
