This park is a small 9 hole course. Only 1 hole over 300. Fairly easy course but fun if you don't like to look for discs. Baskets on many holes are protected by trees.

This if a quick fun course.  It looks like it was landscaped specifically for disc golf.  The holes are short, but most are well protected by trees.

I met David H. and friends here today for a quick round during lunch. We had a foursome start out and finsihed as a fivesome. I had a lot of fun.

David, do you guys play out there every day? I'd be up for doing that again.

ya they are... there are like 3 huge ones and the rest are big
I miss 5 feet putts and everyone laughs at me

QuoteAre all the tee pads cement now?
They always have been, but they used to be those little tiny ones with the sign actually ON the tee pad. Like Crooked long name said, there are two huge ones and the rest are BIG.

They also added signs there...they are nice but the "suggested" flight paths are quiet funny

As long as the weather holds out, I think I will. It's nice to get out and play at lunch, because by the time I get out of here in the evening, it's dark out. Give me a call on my cell if you want to play Damon. Two, Two, Four 588-7834

I can get out there around 12:15 most days.

Yes, pretty much every day. Unless the weather is bad. I don't mind the cold, but, I hate trying to throw a wet disc. I have enough trouble with a dry one. We're usually out there by 12:15 to 12:30. We can try to set up a little more of a permanent T-time, so it's easier to meet. Unless you don't mind me calling every day - "We're leaving now! Be there in 5 minutes."

If you want, we can just shoot for 12:15. If plans change, then we call.

Unless it's raining, I'll probably be out there every day this week.

You could call me if you're not going to be there at 12:15. If you're going to be there around 12:30 I might eat lunch before I get there.

I believe I will - might be working but I'll find out for sure tomorrow; haven't played EGV in at least 2 years. I think I'll play Lombard early that morning (haven't played *there* since May) and I'll call you from there around 11:15 - looks to be about a 25 min trip that time of day.

My cell is seven seven 3 nine 88 five 99 eight.

Clark Park got new baskets today. I'm not up to date at all on basket styles, but they look like the same as was there before, only they have deeper baskets and the chains are attached to rings at the bottom rather than attached to the basket like they were before.

The old ones are still in the ground also as of today.

New ones are in but had to be taken out and put in deeper.  I'm trying to get my hands on an old one =)

Given the proximity of the new playground to pin 3, and the hyzer route directly over the playground, I think the Park District will end up moving pin 3 once the playground opens.  Thoughts?

tacimala

Yep I agree 100%. However, the preferred route is the tunnel shot. ;)

Yeah...I bet you do now!   ;D

Anyway, the playground has been there as long as I've played the course and though it makes me a bit nervous when klids are on it, I've always hyzered over the playground with no problem.  Though the tailwind yesterday made it hard.

I guess it depends upon what they do to the playground.  If they extend it towards the pin, then yeah, they might need to move the pin.  Otherwise, I dont' think it's necessary.

ya when i was out there last week the new park is alot closer to the basket i think it will be a problem if not moved. and i think they made the course worse when they bucherd all the trees there making a easy course even easyer

I was out there the other day and ran into an EGV parks employee and we were just BS-ing about the course.  He said that he does all the planning for that park so I suggested that they put some signs up for safety.  I suggested one somewhere near the new playground (ie: WARNING: Beware of flying Discs) and another one on tee #3 (ie: WARNING: Beware of children on playground)  he said it was a great idea so hopefully he will follow up on that.

just as long as the sign doesn't say something like "beware of flying saucers" or "beware of unidentified flying objects" I'd say that's a fantastic idea :) (ok, sorry for making everyone groan).

I kinda wish they expanded the playground in a different direction or something, but oh well, what are you going to do?
