Somehow, Tom McManus didn't get his bag tag.  If you received bag tag #18 on Sunday at Fairfield, please let me or Tom know and let's get it back to him!

Thanks to all things Brakel and everyone else involved in the IOS events for another great year.

Thanks Tyler. Bryan Schumann was nice enough to trade me #18 for #111.  It was very, very generous of him.

I didn't post that they were up, but results were up at pdga.com about 5 minutes before awards or about 5 minutes after the last card came in.

Thanks Jon, Bruce, Brett, Becky, and anyone else who helped with this years IOS series.  Also a thanks to Dr. Dye who made some sweet overall trophies, wish I won one but switching divisions halfway through made things difficult.

Today was great getting to play with some of the younger guys. In the Oct/Nov issue of DG Magazine Dave Feldberg says, "I just wanted to see the disc fly on its many angles."  For me, that is the most fun, watching guys grip it and rip it. Especially on somewhat windy days like today and yesterday; once in a while the disc looks like it is on a string and it gets pulled straight up or down. There are some monster arms and it so much fun to watch the flight of the disc.

We are all lucky to have guys like Brett and Bruce and Mirth put these tournaments together.  They work hard to make everything come together in the manner that it does.  From getting the dates up early, being able to preregister, getting out on the course early and setting up alternate holes,  having enough merchandise on hand, and giving people the opportunity to actually go home with something that they want.

The player packs are the best, not to slight any other tourney, because they are all great in their own way, but I don't need another tee-shirt, mini, key chain, bottle opener, cork screw, water bottle, towel, or sticker. But if I do need one of those items, Bruce has it for sale.

Small things everyone can do to make tourneys better:

1. Preregister, it is tough for TDs to get the right amount of merchandise if they don't know how many players they are going to have. show up.
2. Get to the course early and sign in. It helps the TD set up groupings.
3. Leave the course cleaner than when you first arrived.
4. Frequent the sponsors of the tourney.
5. Give the other players the respect that you would like during awards ceremonies and during the round.
6. If you are going to criticize the tourney, try and do it through email in a positive manner, after the tourney is over and you have a had chance to think about what you want to say.  These guys work very hard to the enjoyment of many.  They deserve a great deal of credit and respect for bringing everyone out and together.
7. Volunteer.

I agree, very generous, thanks Bryan.  All right, Bryan should have gotten tag #16.  Who's got it?

#111 should have gone to someone who played only the first round and then left.

Mirth, your name was not on the list of people who turned in their bag tags.  If you turned it in, did you have tag #66?  I think that tag was left over.  I don't know what happened to it.

my name was certainly on the list. believe I turned in 56 (the super wrinkly one) that morning.

I remember giving Adrian 15, then Schumann 18.  they had the 2 best scores.  There was no Tag 16 at the table so that might be part of the problem here.  Tag 66 was not in Tyler's spreadsheet, so we dont' know who handed it in.  At the end, Tom did not have a tag so he took the only 1 remaining, Tag 111.  If Mirth also did not have a tag, then somebody took one who did not hand one in.

I took #66 that I forgot from Saturday.  At that time, there was an extra tag, so they gave it to me.  I will trade it for #100....not a big deal to me.

CEValkyrie

I have the extra tags in the car. I will give someone mine. I think I have a single digit after Fairfield but i'm not sure. I'll take 1?? and stick it with someone else ;D.
