It does not have to be an "either/or" on the polo vs t thing.  The same places that sell high performance fabric polos also sell ts.

I think using the old logo, but with only the words Discontinuum Disc Golf Club,  would be a good idea.

I like the idea of the dri fit polo.  Thats probably the only thing that I would be interested in.  Polos less than 35 bucks are usually not ones that I end up every wearing.

Yes, I like the idea of choice. It would be nice to be able to offer both styles of shirts.

Mukey, if you like the design that we used last time but without the established part, then I can run that by the BOD for approval. If you'd like to gather new designs for the BOD to review or to have a club vote we could go down that road. Since you are now the "shirt guy" you should lead us down the path you're willing to do the work for.

Choice IS nice, but when we're dealing with 50+ people I'd rather have one option, the Dri Fit Polos.

Old logo without the established part is both understated, yet classy. Embroidering WOULD look best.

Jon, please submit to the BOD for approval. Once that is done I'll poll for the color & lettering options, and we'll go from there.

Its been a while since I have seen anybody wearing the old shirt. Can somebody post the logo  to refresh my memory? I certainly think a dri-fit shirt will be worn more often and nobody will forget what the logo looks like.

I still think it should just say Discontinuum Disc Golf Club.  and u can leave the website address in there too.

I like the logo though.

I agree with Dan, 3 lines is plenty.  It gets too busy otherwise.

Just got an email about an offer through a third party that may be of interest to this conversation.

Here is most of the body of the email:
QuoteToday, our order minimum is just 4 items, we don't charge set-up or embroidery fees for standard-sized logos, and an Industry-Unique Unconditional Ten-Year Guarantee backs everything we sell.

I'd like to introduce you to a remarkable polo shirt that we recently developed here in Wilmington, NC. I know your time is valuable, so I'll try to keep this as short as possible.

Our goal was to design a shirt that could be sold at the lowest possible price, but without sacrificing quality. As the only company in our industry that backs everything we sell with an Unconditional Ten-Year Guarantee, quality is essential to our survival.

Our heritage is in yarn. For this special shirt, I chose ringspun, combed, 100% extra-long staple Pima cotton yarn. American-born Pima cotton is an extraordinary fiber. It is softer, silkier, and stronger than regular cotton. To enhance the comfort of this shirt, we use a lightweight jersey knit that lays flat on your skin and drapes well on any body style. For additional softness and size stability, we pre-wash this incredible fabric.

With a fully taped neck, a jersey "self-fabric" collar, and a classic two-button placket, this polo has a contemporary look that makes a positive first impression whether you're at work or on the golf course. Since it's much lighter and softer than the average department store polo, it'll provide extra hours of sensational comfort in all environments. Double-needle tailoring ensures that you'll be experiencing that comfort for years to come.

We regularly sell these 21st Century polos for $12.50 each. You'll find many stores selling much lower quality shirts, often with designer logos, for two to three times this price. Yes, you read that right. You can easily spend $25 to $40 in the stores and get a lesser quality shirt, perhaps even with someone else's logo on it! Try just four of our shirts, however, and I will sell them to you at an introductory price of just $9.95 each with your custom-embroidered logo.

Our volume and "factory direct" Internet-based business model eliminates middlemen and expensive printing costs and warehouse facilities. As a result, we're able to offer you our quality products at prices well below standard retail, as well as those of our competitors.

Other custom-embroidered apparel companies require you to order hundreds of shirts to get their best price. Our order minimum is just four items. In addition, we won't charge you a set-up fee or an embroidery fee for your standard-sized logo.

I've not used them before, but the prices look pretty good.

Has anyone had one of these shirts in the "Pima Cotton"? Just wondering if it's anywhere near Dri Fit. If so, we could save some $.

The site above also has a "Quick-Dry Jacquard Sport" polo, at $29.95 each. The cool part is that if our logo is below a certain amount of stitches, then embroidering is FREE!

Bruce Brakel

It is 100% cotton.  Anything 100% cotton retains moisture and is not as tough as a blend.  Dry Fit and Rapid Dry are 60/40 blends.

Yeah, they have a 60/40 blend shirt, but it's $34.95/each.

Pima Cotton is a fuzzy finish cotton. It is a sponge!

What's the status of the shirts?

Jon Brakel

Mukey, maybe I forgot to post this, but the BOD approved using the old logo but dropping the "of Northeastern Illinois est. 2001" part. Brett was talking about today to see if you can get a quote from the guy who did Terry's shirts. If Brett gets you that info, please get a quote from them.

Thanks!

I don't suppose anyone has the old logo in a file format still...? Would make it a bit easier.

Looking at getting quotes from a few companies & then getting back to you guys on price & how many we should order, etc.
