Worlds pre-reg player list was posted, glad to see my name on there.

Already 334 Ams!  Looked like ~120 Advanced, so almost half-full if they cut it off at 288 as advertised.  It was posted that some of the age-protected divisions are already full and others are almost full.  So, if you are invited to Am Worlds and are attending, you should probably make sure you get your money in before May 1 when they open it up to non-invited players.  Its going to fill fast at that point.

Pros, not too many registered yet, so nothing to worry about.

Am Grandmaster is full.

Adv:  134
Masters:  73
GMasters:  77

Wouldn't the cap for a division be 72?  Are Grandmasters over?  Are Masters?

If the cap is 90, that makes more sense:  Grandmasters ( 77 ) + Grandmasters-Women ( 5 ) + Masters-Women ( 8 ) = 90.  If that's the case, only 17 more spots for Masters.

Fixed:

"MG1 and MS1 divisions increased at 2012 PDGA Worlds in Charlotte!

It seems that the "Graying of America" is also impacting the PDGA World Championships.  Since the Amateur Grandmaster and Senior Grandmaster divisions have exploded with early registrants, the PDGA and Host Team from Charlotte have arranged to increase the available spots for those two divisions.  The MG1 division will now be able to handle up to 108 players instead of only 72, and the MS1 division will now be able to handle up to 36 players instead of only 20.

The option to register for the MG1 division for 2012 Worlds is now once again available on the registration website at www.pdgasignup.com  Any MG1 invitees who had registered for Advanced Masters previously and would like to move back to the MG1 division should drop an email to, or call, the PDGA Tour Manager at PDGA Headquarters.

The updated tentative course schedule (v1.4) is now available on the 2012 PDGA Worlds page."

Masters will cap out at 108 players. I was 72nd to register so it will fill I'd imagine. 73 as of today!

I got this off DGCR.

Ran the registration #s a few hours ago based on the PDGA web site. Only 79 spots left for Advanced, 5 for AM Masters, -1 for Grand (some slots created ?), and 7 for Sr Grand. Don't know how PDGA is going to shuffle divisions. If you want to play and have an invite, get your name up there--snooze and lose. Don't wait for May 1 registration.

There are over 700 players signed up already. I heard MA1--Advanced has less than 30 spots remaining.

There were 43 spots available in MA1 when I registered at 10:30 this morning. At this rate they will probably be filled by the weekend.

tjdub26936

After this weeks update to the pre-registration list, the Women's division was two over it's limit, the Master's division had one spot left, and Grandmasters & Sr. Grandmasters had three spots left each.  Plenty of room in the Junior divisions.  Total pre-reg could top 600 by next week.

add 1 more available spot for the Masters. I am dropping out, I accepted cash at my 1st Open event. too expensive to do alone, as the dropping the points from 1,000 to 500 really hurt. No one without an invite will even be able to play, and my traveling partner needed to wait until May 1st when it's open to the public!  10 years in the advanced division was long enough I guess?

Registration page was updated, 656 Am pre-registered, 179 from North or South Carolina.  Advanced & Advanced Masters have their full capacity listed, Advanced Grandmasters & Sr. Grandmasters are reported full too, but each has one open spot on the pre-registration.  Wait lists have supposedly been started.

Pro Open is almost half full, plenty of Am's who were shut out will likely register when the flood gates open on May 1st.  Barry Schultz is playing Masters, wonder if Climo will too.

Just checked the registration list.
675 Ams
236 Pros
911 Total.

I believe Des Moines Worlds was the largest at 911.

Worlds is looking for experienced TDs, by the way.  They currently have a TD shortage.
