Most likely. I'll definitely be there until 12 or 1pm.

Realtor???  EXCELLENT!!!  good luck Pat!

pat

Thanks Jim. I will try to get there to help. Shouldn't take too long with the realtor I just have to sign some papers. Just waiting to see if the marks...um.......prospective buyers loan goes through.

Myk

Sorry I didn't make it out this morning.  We had a party after work last night and I had a little much to drink.  Needless to say, my head is fucking pounding!!

Paul, Chud, Mirth, Pat and myself all showed up at various times, but we got a good amount accomplished. I think we worked from 8 until 1pm.
• The "C" bridge has been removed from the creek but not dis-assembled. We'll need 2 people, a crow bar (i have one), a sledgehammer (I have one), and a heavy-duty drill (don't have one) to remove the screws.
• We cleared several small 'dams' in the creek between Basket 9 and Basket "B". The huge dam just south of the "B"bridge will be a massive undertaking, and I will request the WPD's assistance with that.
• We cleared a bunch of garbage throughout the course (approx. 2 bags).
• Hole "B"s fairway has been cleared more on the south side, with minor branch obstacles removed or trimmed.
• Holes 8 and "B" have had the log/branch linings refortified.
• Woodchips were spread on the three tees for Hole A; tees for Holes 16 & 17 also woodchipped.  A large pile of chips still sits very near Basket 6 and will be spread out over the next fews weeks.

MUCH THANKS to the few that showed up!!!!!!
After we worked our butts off, we played 22 holes. Mirth, Pat, and I each successfully defended our BagTags.
I hope that the turnout is stronger for the Wildwood installation days on April 17th and 18th.

Chud, Paul, and myself got out and did some work today.
We removed the bridge from the creek again and dismantled it completely. We used some of the wood for Tee 18, some for B1. We can dig and secure them in the ground if deemed cool. The rest will be removed from the park in a day or two.

Adrian built that sucker to last forever.....

The next job is to spread the rest of the woodchips on Hole 6.

mirth

Removed the bridge from the creek.... again?!
Don't forget your towel!

jim

Yeah, both the "C" bridge, the 2sqft plywood, and some branches were thrown back in the creek.
Its all good now.

As of 05-23-03, there are no soccer goals at the field by hole #9. I'm wondering if they will be playing games there this summer. The rest of the fields in Waukgan have the goals already.

Mirth & I will be meeting with Trigg on Thursday. We will be discussing Hole C bridge, wood chips, & some alternate pin placements.

Mirth & I had a good meeting with the park district. We walked the course with Mike, Scott, Kevin, & Oscar.

Hole #2 -> They will not be mowing under the big willow tree anymore. They will let the grass grow long. They will also let the willows grow to the ground creating a nasty trap.

Hole #6 -> Wood chips will be added. We have permission to install an alternate pin placement. They will be clearing a little pocket in the woods. It will be located to the east of current #6 in the woods. Once it is done, they will wood chip around that location as well.

Path to A will be wood chipped.

Hole A -> All 3 tee pads will be wood chipped & fairway.

Path to #7 will be wood chipped.

Hole #16 -> (Alternate to #7) They will not mow the rough to the right side of #7 fairway this year. They will be mowing a path from #16 tee pad to #7 basket.

Hole #8 -> Will wood chip the last half of the fairway.

Hole B -> Entire hole will be wood chipped.

Hole C -> All 3 tee pads will be wood chipped & they will start mowing the path to tee pad C3. They will also wood chip around C's basket.

Path to # 9 will be wood chipped.
C Bridge -> They will be installing a stone bridge. It will be cool!!

Hole # 18 -> (Alternate to #9) They are going to move the stone up a few feet and level the tee pad with wood chips.

Mirth, did I miss anything?

Already forgot. They will also be bringing in a machine that they will use to try to clear out parts of the creek by B Bridge.

Yeah, Kevin made it sound like he could get a backhoe in there & use it to clear the dam immediately after B's bridge.

They started laying wood chips on #6. They put way more than usual which is good.

Was thinking about playing the other night after I washed my car, but the soccer players had completely taken over holes 2&3.  :(

The last time I tried to play through on a hole where guys were near, they were messing with us, pretending like they were gonna grab our disks and throw them in the road.

I just won't bother going to Bevier on the weekends or evenings I guess. Just too many bystanders some days.

Is the basket on hole A being moved? Steve, Ian and I were playing last night and there was no basket in the normal spot. Is it deeper and we just missed it?

mirth

No....... Was it just hole A missing?

We didn't play B or C, so I'm not sure about those. The main 9 were all there.
Adrian and Adrian Jr. were also there, but I'm not sure if they played B and C though.

CEValkyrie

I just sent an e-mail to find out if it was stolen or removed by the park district.

Were there new wood chips on all of the holes? They are supposed to do that work. Also, is the bridge in on Hole C?
