I went to the Sinnissippi Open 2 years ago.

Boring course. Not well organized. Lots of jerks.

jim

Probably me. Maybe Chud. Maybe Paul.

jim

That was Mary MacGregor. Minne Ripperton sang "Loving You" (Is Easy cuz You're Beautiful). Olivia Newton John, well, I'm not getting into that . . . .

:-)

jim

The way I had unofficially set up bumping for the Safari Series was that if anyone took 1st place 3 times, they'd move up to the Upper Pool. But whatever officers decide on is fine.

jim

I take it the "other course" is Manitowoc?

jim

Russian IS confusing because it uses the Cyrillic alphabet.

Lithuanian simply combines Pig Latin with lots of phlegm and rolled Rrrrrrrrrrrs.

jim

Spoken like a true rightie.....

:)

jim

Jay, can you please call Gary Lewis and make sure there are no leagues scheduled for West Park on Safari day?  Thanks, bud.

You know, we've got 5 events remaining. It is still anyone's game.....

jim

Now is a great time for new ideas.

I've been in contact with Wilbur, the state rep, about a 2004 Illinois Tour. Possibly turning the Safari into the IL Tour is an option. I'll post more on this in another thread later.

jim

what the heck are you talking about damon?

you are so full of pitts! my rules are perfect, absolute, unquestionable, and fully applicable to all players, especially soon-to-be GrandMasters!

Actually, I kinda like your idea about 8 best, 9 best, etc. Pretty cool.

jim

Jay is the big Safari Kahuna now.

We've heard the arguments.

Unless we're waiting for Angela Landsbury or Peter Falk.

Give to us your commandment, oh Lawgiver!

jim

So I take it we are playing parkside from the LONG tees?  I hope so!!!

BTW, I'll be taking the lowest DISContinuum AND Wisconsin BagTags from you suckas!

jim

i LOVE those placements pat!

Couldn't get the lock open? Dennis hasn't been eating his wheaties!

will YOU be there saturday?

jim

i'd offer to have kirsten babysit, but she will be gone all day saturday near madison

damon, you'd better practice; no resting on your laurels!  just think, when I'm a grandmaster, you'll be a legend!  ha!  :)

Jim,

Safri Series is the 2nd Saturday of the month, correct? On the schedule you handed out today, you have the 2nd Sunday of each month.

so what is the strategy going to be for the safari series?

i am predicting that the winner of the adv/pro will be -50 strokes on 2nd place

& the winner of am will be -30 strokes on 2nd place.

i am fine with the new rules & that they were voted on. that is my fault for not paying attention to detail. i'm just wondering in the long run when someone is down 25 to 30 strokes, why would they show up? if i know i'm going to be at 7 events & I know i can't place, wouldn't i be better off going & buying $49.00 worth of discs.

you have some valid points but as a coach i understand what i'm matching up against. i have to be realistic. i know for a fact that i cannot beat shawn or al if they both play in seven events. i have enough troubles competing with the other solid advanced players in our club.  yeah, maybe i could get lucky & beat once but consistenly over 7 events, no way. i look to play par every time i step onto the course. anything below is a bonus. shawn will easily shoot par if not under at every course. i'm sure his goal is to shoot 4-8 down every time he plays. I figure shawn is EASILY 4-5 strokes better. i'm looking at a 28 to 35 shot difference by the end of 7 events. that is if i play pretty good disc golf.
