I like the fence concept. Its a concept that I will use on my course once I win the lottery.

Drove by Bevier yesterday afternoon and noticed Hole 4 got a slight makeover.  The cluster of gnarly trees to the right of the tee-pad were all removed opening up a new line.  It looks like they made mulch out of those trees and spread it out on hole 12 , maybe some others.

This could be good and bad I think:  Good b/c it opens up a new route, Bad b/c those trees saved my disc, and cars from its wrath,  many a time.

Wait, your saying the trees that forced a left-to-right shot are all gone and you can just throw straight at the basket now?  If thats true, I'm not sure how its good in any way.

Steven sent me a picture the other day. Totally sucks. I have a feeling those trees were diseased and they had to be removed. I'll try to work on getting them to plant some new ones.

Tom & I met at Lowe's to get some price quotes on lumber and hardware.

We are going to need some help getting the tee pads and baskets installed. We'll try to get a work day scheduled as soon as possible.

You can see where the long tee on #1 will be. I marked it with flags and paint.

I was looking for a place to put the concrete tee on #13. The current tee is located near some large trees. A new concrete tee will now work. I need to talk to the park district about a new tee pad in that area. I want to turn #13 into an estimated 500ft par 4.

I marked off the wooded area that will be cut for the new tee pad on #17. You can see the pink/orange tape in the woods.

I also marked the section of woods that will be cut on new #18. That's located on the right side of current #17.

Thats great to hear! I may try to get out there today after work.

CEValkyrie

I went out there during lunch and they had long #1, 6, & 7 completed. They should have all 8 done today. They are doing a good job of leveling them and keeping run up room from behind.

Oh, I didn't realize that they were doing a long #6. I did notice that the tee pad at 18 was gone, though.

CEValkyrie

There will only be 2 long tees. That's #1 & current #18. Someone moved the pad that was on long 18 to 16. That should be moved back by the end of the day.

Holes 6 thru 11 across the street will all be the same.

Holes 1 long, 6, 7, 8,  & 10 are done. They've done a great job leveling them out and filling dirt around. They've already planted grass seed too.

They are working on 9, 11, & 18 this afternoon. Hopefully the rain holds out and they are able to get them done.

They didn't get the last 3 done yesterday. If it doesn't rain too much today they plan on working Saturday.

All the framed rubber tee pads have been installed. Those include long #1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, & long 18. Long 18 is not playable yet and needs to be cleared. Please try to stay off the dirt around the tee pads. They planted grass and hopefully it take quickly. Spread the word.

If anyone is feeling gung ho there are 2 rubber tee pads in the BMX parking lot that can be moved to #16 and #17 until the course is finished.

It really doesn't affect the play of the course but they've planted 6 or 7 new willow trees near the pond.

I just went out the Bevier to play a quick 18 over lunch. The new tee pads are sweet!!!  The park district did a great job of getting them level. Once the grass takes there will be ample flat run up roo.

Can't wait for the concrete tees on the rest of the holes.

A disc golfer found a pair of Dodge Stealth keys at Bevier. If you know who owns them they were turned into the park district.
