Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

pdga#7648

thats right. Scott Martin won what was called AM1 in 1992, Tim won AM2 the year before, my bad.

They got myself, my brother, and ex sister-in-law to join the PDGA. They were our traveling companions 1994-1998.
In my opinion, Scott is still one of the best lefties to play this game. And he was a putting machine, with that dumb 86 mold putter.

Quick, disc golf fans, name the last Mens Amateur World Champion from Illinois.

However best suits the author up to and including the "Lincoln slept here" mentality for some. When I was heavily involved in the whitewater paddling community, I heard any number of times of all the world class paddlers from Illinois. Of course, the individuals pointing this out invariably failed to mentioned that said world class paddlers moved someplace where there was actually world class whitewater when they were fairly young. The analogy isn't quite on here but the idea is the same.

"I am of Bajor."   ;D

Scott Martin might also be the best shuffle run-up thrower of all time!  As far as I know, he never switched to the X-step, but stayed with the shuffle-step.  Years ago he was the Waterford Junior Girls' Club Official Sugar Daddy.  He was always exceptionally generous with the popstand, especially when he won, which was frequent.

Meanwhile, on topic, ratings were very cruel to the Waterford Brakels this cycle.  Kelsey and I each lost a few.  Kiralyn, who I thought was poised to go up ten, stayed the same.  She must have had some really good rounds drop off.  Diana will get slaughtered in the post-Worlds ratings, but we will have to wait for that.

That IOS #4 TD sure got his stuff in fast!  ;D Sorry for the self congratulations but since I can't play this is the only way that I get a "birdie" but I don't get a rating off of it!  ;)

Well if they gave out ratings for submitting TD reports, Jon  would be one of the best.

If they gave out ratings Jon would be an uber bagger as he runs great AM events but would certainly have a pro TD rating. ;D

Karli has her first rating......820! I guess she'll have to play advanced women next time.....she's rated too high for intermediate!

Quit work, play disc golf :)

Diana fell some due to her having played Worlds while she was still rehabbing her knee.  The rest of the Waterford Brakels just exhibited Brownian ratings motion.

Up 12!  Very few recent rounds involved so helps explain the big jump.  Matches my highest to date and that first high mark included my unemployment tour rounds when I was playing almost every other day.  Woohoo! Feels pretty good to bump back up.  Settling nicely into the middle of rec.  Rec for life!
