Kelsey is in first place by one throw after the first round. Bruce had a good first round...in the upper portion of his pool shooting a round well above his rating.

Morning round was awesome.  Shot 970.  I only made two or three mistakes and made a few big time putts.  Ended the round with a 50 foot jumper for a birdie 2.

Afternoon round was competent for me.  Played 940ish golf but scores aren't up yet.  I'm just guessing from how M pool rated in the morning.  It was pretty cool playing on the #2 card at Worlds.  Dropping down to 4 or 5 card tomorrow, and with 4 pools, that really means 64th to 80th place. 

I won my card both rounds.  Second round I signed off on the card thinking I was second on the card with a 60 being edged out by a 59.  Turns out he miscounted his total and got a 61+2=63.  Ouch.  Second round I also closed the round with a 50 foot jumper for a birdie 2.

Great weather.  Chilly at night.  Highs in the upper 70s or low 80s with lots of big puffy lake effect clouds.

Does anyone have a count on how many club members we have there? Even with the addition of the pros, you'd think we would have had more club members in Milwaukee but I never counted those either.

I guess the PDGA and Worlds folks were caught by surprise by this Score Port shortage. The three IOS Score Ports are making their Worlds debut this week! Since they've only been used twice I was a little worried to let them go to Worlds but I was assured by the PDGA that if they come back in worse condition that they will replace them once some get shipped to the U.S.

Kelsey increases her lead to 6 throws!!! They played a tight wooded course today. Good for Kelsey. Not so good for Becky. Hope Becky is still having fun!

Sure. Playing is great.  Watching is great too.  The old men played Eaaarly this morning so we got a chance to watch the pros at Oshtemo this afternoon.  I followed Brett's group for a while and he lookd good.  Saw him deuce two in a row. He shot is only sub 1000 round today and he only missed by a stroke.  Terry Miller, who had played great the first two rounds had an off day today but is still up there.  We then followed the first three cards most of the afternoon.  They are so good that there is a point where you are not impressed when they don't make the 50 foot putt.  Feldberg put a tee shot way in the woods.  I still never saw his second shot come out of the woods.  AlllI know is I saw his disc rolling around the basket and have no idea how it got there.  Sheesh! Kallstrom had an off day but you can still HEAR his disc come off his hands. It sounds like you are at the Air and Water Show.  It literally explodes off his hands with a sonic boom.  Nikko was very consistent and is currently leading.  You might think his hair is interesting but it is nothing compared with his caddie's hair. That guy has dreadlocks that go about 10 inches below his backside.  His hair must weigh 50 lbs.

My lessons with Brett seem to be helping. I hope I can keep it up. 

I haven't had a chance to see Kelsey or Kira play.  I saw their scores.  I am used to seeing Kelsey play very consistent and strong golf.  No surprise. However, Kira is lighting it up.   Way to shoot girl!

I have to go clean up and grab some Bells at the Players Party...

I point out fairly often that if Kira could time travel to 4 years ago she could totally pound Kelsey. Kelsey wouldn't stand a chance. Kelsey's rating 4 years ago was 758 and she was shooting good rounds around 810. Kira's rating right now is 821 and she is shooting good rounds in the 870s and higher. Four years ago Kelsey won Worlds in jr. girls under 16 in a field of 3. Today Kira is 14th out of 39 at Worlds playing Advanced Women. Kira will dominate some day...until then she continues to shine in Kelsey's shadow.

By the way, I ALWAYS say this stuff about Kira...and she's my ONLY niece that doesn't like me! Hey Bruce, help me out here. Print this out and give it to Kira!

From her score, looks like Becky did do better that round.  Still working the underdog comeback!!!!!!!
